Sugitec endorses Kyoto Hannahlies’ efforts in the Kyoto Home Catering Project

The Kyoto Hannahlies, a professional basketball team based in Kyoto Prefecture and a member of the B.LEAGUE, along with eight supporting companies, are offering families in need the chance to watch sports games through the “Kyoto Kodomo Homeshoku Project” as part of their community contribution efforts.

Sugitec is proud to sponsor the Kyoto Hannahlies as part of our community and social contribution activities. We’re excited to support this project!

We’ll be handing out the first batch of tickets, 650 in all (enough for approximately 325 families), at a ceremony during a home game on December 5 (Saturday).

The Kyoto Children’s Home Meal Project is a program that provides regular food assistance to families in need in Kyoto City. As part of the project, we’ll be donating tickets to the Kyoto Hannahs home game as a gift, not only of food, but also of a memorable experience.

We’re working with the sponsors to distribute the first batch of 650 tickets to around 325 families in Nakagyo and Fushimi wards.

■Kyoto Children’s Home Delivered Meals Project
The Kyoto Children’s Home Meal Project is a project launched through a tripartite agreement among the General Corporation Kodomo Tateishoku Ouendan, the City of Kyoto, and the Adachi Fukushi Kai social welfare corporation. Various children’s home meal programs have been implemented throughout Japan under the auspices of Kodomo Tateyoku Ouendan, but Kyoto City is the first ordinance-designated city to implement this project, and it will play a major role in the future expansion of the program. The representative is Mr. Hiroshi Hatayama, President of Adachi Fukushi Kai Social Welfare Corporation and Chairman of Adachi Hospital Medical Foundation.

The Kyoto Hannahs aren’t doing this alone. They’ve got a lot of support from other companies, and more people are getting involved. It’s also become more widely known that there are families in need of some extra help. They’re also hoping to spread the word about this scheme so they can keep supporting people in need.

Tickets for this support were added to the “Kyoto Children’s Home Meal November Delivery (2nd Fushimi Ward Delivery)” on November 15 (Sun.) and delivered to 139 target households during the week of November 16 (Mon.) to 22 (Sun.). We’re aiming to get the delivery out to the target households in Nakagyo-ku around mid-December.

As a member of the local community, Sugitec will continue to promote local and social contribution activities.
