Survey Department, Sugitec Kyoto Head Office

Career history: After graduating from Osaka Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, worked for a construction-related company before joining Sugitec. Currently, he is a member of the Survey Department at the Kyoto Head Office, where he performs on-site survey work using smart inspection applications and infrared cameras, as well as in-house survey report work.

-How did you learn about the SDGs and your impressions and impressions after learning about the SDGs?

I first heard about the SDGs through a TV program. I learned more about the SDGs when I joined Sugitec and researched the SDGs in the SDG initiative. 17 goals are all sustainable, and some of them are things I can work on myself, so I think it was a good opportunity for me to take a fresh look at them.

-What do you think are the benefits of companies working on the SDGs?

I believe that by working on these issues in a company, people will become aware of things they do not normally think about on a daily basis, and this will provide an opportunity for each of us to reconsider. In addition, I believe that by implementing SDG initiatives in line with the company’s business activities, we can contribute to the world and lead to the growth of both the company and the individual.

-What are your current challenges in addressing the SDGs?

Although it is impossible to achieve the SDGs alone, I believe that each of us needs to be aware of the importance of the SDGs, which are common to all companies and individuals around the world, so that the future of the world will be a better environment for all of us.
