Engineering Department, Sugitec Tokyo Branch

Career Summary: After graduating from the Department of Architecture at the Nippon Institute of Technology, worked for an architectural design and construction company before joining Sugitec. -How did you learn about the SDGs and your impressions and impressions after learning about the SDGs?

I’d seen it in writing, but I didn’t learn about it until after I joined the company. When I first saw it, I thought it would be great if we could achieve the set goals, but at the same time, I also thought it would be tough given the current situation.

-What do you think are the benefits of companies working on the SDGs?

We all have our limits, and that’s okay! I truly believe that when we work together, we can achieve so much more. When people learn about the SDGs through their companies, it can really make a difference. It’s a great way to spread awareness and encourage everyone to get involved.

-What are your current challenges in addressing the SDGs?

I think the main issue is visibility. To achieve our goals, we need more and more people to get on board. But I think there are still lots of people, like me before I joined the company, who don’t know what the SDGs are or even that they exist. Even if we can do something if we know about the SDGs, it’s pointless if no one knows about them. I think the first thing we need to do is get the SDGs out there to the public.
